Visiting Thien Truong Stadium, SLNA quickly conceded a goal after a header from Tony Agbaji. The Nghe An team continued to lose 2 more goals with a double from Do Merlo, thereby losing the second consecutive match with a score of 0-3.

Despite his strong reaction after the third goal, after the match, Coach Ngo Quang Truong affirmed that he would not comment on the referee's decisions. When asked about the referee mistakenly replacing Van Lam with Tuan Tai, Coach Quang Truong just laughed.

Speaking about the match at Thien Truong Stadium, Coach Ngo Quang Truong said: “In the last 15 minutes of the first half, we played well and created many dangerous opportunities. If a goal had hit the post, the game would have changed a lot. That’s football.”

After two consecutive losses, Coach Quang Truong admitted that SLNA needs to improve a lot, including both the defense and the forward line. At the same time, the Nghe An strategist said that the team is forced to rely on the current players because they cannot be replaced or supplemented anymore.

“Many young SLNA players are playing in the V.League for the first time, matches like this will help them improve themselves and understand how harsh this tournament is. As I said, the first 5 matches of the season cannot be called sublime. We played well with 5 unbeaten matches but luck also came with it,” coach Quang Truong added.

SLNA's mainstays in this match, such as Tuan Tai and Phan Van Duc, did not play well. Coach Quang Truong did not evaluate his players, instead, he shared: "Phan Van Duc just returned from injury, only played for 70 - 80 minutes and then ran out of breath. So I let him stop to play better."

Despite the defeat, SLNA's head coach affirmed that with what they showed on the field, his team deserved to leave with at least 1 point. Coach Quang Truong also admitted that SLNA was unlucky when some of their shots hit the crossbar.

On the home team side, the new head coach of DNH Nam Dinh Club - Pham Hong Phu shared: "In previous matches, we still played like that, had opportunities like that but luck kept turning away. In this match, luck returned to help Nam Dinh win. Despite consecutive losses, today the audience came to the stadium in greater numbers than in previous matches. If Nam Dinh fans are number 2, no one dares to accept number 1," said Mr. Phu.
