In round 11 of V.League 2025/26, Song Lam Nghe An returned to Vinh Stadium to welcome Becamex TP.HCM. The Vinh Stadium team played bravely and got their first victory under coach Van Sy Son.

Since Mr. Dang Tran Chinh returned to the coaching bench, Becamex TP.HCM has shown a clear change in both playing style and spirit. In the last 4 matches, the team from the land of Thu showed impressive performance when winning 2, drawing 1 and losing only 1 match.

The positive results have helped Becamex TP.HCM climb to near the middle of the rankings, temporarily creating a 4-point gap compared to the bottom group. From a team that was once deep in crisis, coach Dang Tran Chinh's team is showing strong signs of revival with a more energetic, disciplined and effective playing style.

In contrast to their opponents' rising form, Song Lam Nghe An are still struggling to find the winning feeling under coach Van Sy Son. Despite clear improvements in spirit and playing style, the Nghe An team has yet to translate this into positive results. In the last 3 matches, SLNA lost to Thanh Hoa, drew with SHB Da Nang and suffered a 0-1 defeat to the top team Ninh Binh despite their best efforts.

Returning to Vinh Stadium in round 11, coach Van Sy Son had the important return of defensive midfielder Phan Ba Quyen, who was absent in the previous round due to suspension. However, the home team was missing key midfielder Ngo Van Luong, central defender Garcia and Tran Nam Hai due to injury. The Nghe An coach remained loyal to the familiar 4-1-4-1 formation. Accordingly, the four defenders included Nguyen Mai Hoang, Hoang Van Khanh, Le Van Thanh and Phan Ba Quyen; Quang Vinh took on the role of anchor. The four-man midfield consisted of Ho Van Cuong, Olaha, Manh Quynh and Khac Ngoc, while striker Moore played highest up the attack line.

Determined to win points to escape the bottom group, SLNA entered the game proactively. The two wings, with the presence of Manh Quynh and Ho Van Cuong, became the main attacking direction of the yellow team. Despite facing many difficulties against the close and disciplined playing style of Becamex TP.HCM, Coach Van Sy Son's students still played with determination, pressing strongly and constantly looking for ways to put pressure on the opponent's field.

In the 8th minute, from an attack on the left wing, Mai Hoang made a difficult cross into the middle of the away team's goal. However, inside, striker Moore could not get the desired touch to bring SLNA the lead.

On the other hand, despite focusing on defense, Becamex TP.HCM still created quite dangerous opportunities towards Cao Van Binh's goal. Specifically, in the 18th minute, after many situations of passing in the middle, Minh Binh had a chance in front of SLNA's goal, but the midfielder's kick did not go as planned.

After many missed opportunities, in the 28th minute, Song Lam Nghe An broke the deadlock. From a fairly coherent attack in the middle, Olaha sent a delicate pass to Ho Van Cuong. The midfielder wearing the number 30 shirt, reasonably passed the ball to Moore. In a one-on-one situation with the opposing goalkeeper, the striker wearing the number 10 shirt made a cool shot that scored against Becamex TP.HCM.

After scoring the opening goal, SLNA played with excitement and in the 35th minute, they created a golden opportunity in front of Minh Toan's goal. However, Manh Quynh could not defeat this goalkeeper in the face-to-face situation.

Despite playing somewhat stalemate, Becamex TP.HCM surprisingly equalized the score in the extra time. Tung Quoc made a bold breakthrough in the SLNA penalty area past two players Le Van Thanh and Quang Vinh and then fired a powerful shot that defeated goalkeeper Cao Van Binh.

And the score 1-1 was also the result that ended the first 45 minutes of the match.

Entering the second half, SLNA immediately flooded the away team's field with the determination to find a goal. And the home team created a series of opportunities in front of Van Cong's goal. However, striker Moore unfortunately missed the opportunity.

After a series of attacks until the 70th minute, Song Lam Nghe An finally scored a goal to increase the score to 2-1. From a throw-in by his teammate, Olaha handled the ball skillfully before passing the ball to Moore to get past the opponent's defender and then unleash a dangerous shot into the far corner, defeating goalkeeper Van Cong.
