Song Lam Nghe An had their first victory under coach Van Sy Son when facing Becamex TP.HCM.
In round 11 of V.League 2025/26, Song Lam Nghe An returned to Vinh Stadium to welcome Becamex TP.HCM. The Vinh Stadium team played bravely and got their first victory under coach Van Sy Son.
Since Mr. Dang Tran Chinh returned to the coaching bench, Becamex TP.HCM has shown a clear change in both playing style and spirit. In the last 4 matches, the team from the land of Thu showed impressive performance when winning 2, drawing 1 and losing only 1 match.
The positive results have helped Becamex TP.HCM climb to near the middle of the rankings, temporarily creating a 4-point gap compared to the bottom group. From a team that was once deep in crisis, coach Dang Tran Chinh's team is showing strong signs of revival with a more energetic, disciplined and effective playing style.
In contrast to their opponents' rising form, Song Lam Nghe An are still struggling to find the winning feeling under coach Van Sy Son. Despite clear improvements in spirit and playing style, the Nghe An team has yet to translate this into positive results. In the last 3 matches, SLNA lost to Thanh Hoa, drew with SHB Da Nang and suffered a 0-1 defeat to the top team Ninh Binh despite their best efforts.
Returning to Vinh Stadium in round 11, coach Van Sy Son had the important return of defensive midfielder Phan Ba Quyen, who was absent in the previous round due to suspension. In the 8th minute, from an attack on the left wing, Mai Hoang made a difficult cross into the middle of the away team's goal. However, inside, striker Moore could not get the desired touch to bring SLNA the lead.

After a series of attacks until the 70th minute, Song Lam Nghe An finally scored a goal to increase the score to 2-1. From a throw-in by his teammate, Olaha handled the ball skillfully before passing the ball to Moore to get past the opponent's defender and then unleash a dangerous shot into the far corner, defeating goalkeeper Van Cong.
In the final minutes of the match, Becamex TP.HCM pushed up their formation in the hope of finding an equalizer but failed. Therefore, the match ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of SLNA.
And this is also the first victory of the Vinh home team under coach Van Sy Son.
