571st Automobile Division holds traditional meeting on the occasion of April 30
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 26, towards the 39th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2014) and the 55th anniversary of the opening of Truong Son Road (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2014), the Veterans Liaison Committee of the Automobile Transport Division - Truong Son Nghe An Army held a meeting.
The meeting was attended by comrades who are leaders of the Division, affiliated regiments and battalions through the periods, along with more than 400 war veterans of the Division.

The heroic 571st Military Transport Mobile Automobile Division was the strategic transport division of the Truong Son Corps during the years of fighting the Americans. The Division participated in most of the campaigns during the war against the Americans. Especially in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign, together with other units, the Division contributed significantly to the overall victory of the nation. In the last days of the historic April, the automobile units of the 571st Division mobilized hundreds of thousands of troops from the army corps to attack directly into Saigon city, occupying the Independence Palace, the General Staff, Tan Son Nhat Airport, the Saigon Special Zone Command... After the war against the Americans ended, the officers and soldiers of the Division continued to carry out international missions in Laos and Cambodia until the day of total victory.

Every three years, the 517th Automobile Division will hold a traditional meeting. This is an opportunity for former comrades of the 571st Automobile Division to reminisce about the heroic and glorious fighting time for the cause of national liberation.
