All units of the 4th Kantemirovskaya Tank Division are stationed in the town of Naro-Fominsk, 70 km southwest of Moscow. This is a military force formed on the basis of the 17th Tank Corps established in 1942. The main equipment of this division is the extremely modern T-80 main battle tank.

To assume the role of protecting the capital, the 4th Kantemirovskaya Tank Division regularly organizes regular exercises, mobilizes training machines, and fires fiercely.

Tanks in formation conduct exercises on January 29, 2015 in Alabino.

The division primarily used the T-80U tank variant.

The division's tank crews are ready to participate in the exercise.

The T-80U main battle tank was produced in 1987 and has a crew of three.

The main armament of the T-80U tank is a 125 mm smoothbore gun, automatically loaded, capable of firing a variety of ammunition including armor-piercing, armor-piercing, armor-piercing (APDS), high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) and fragmentation rounds.

The T-80U tank has a maximum speed of 65-70 km/h on dirt roads, with an operating range of 400 km.

The tank crew hurriedly brought ammunition to the vehicle.

In addition to the ability to fire various types of ammunition, the T-80U's smoothbore gun is also capable of firing 9M119 Refleks anti-tank missiles (NATO designation AT-11 Sniper).

The training sessions will enhance the combat capabilities of tank crews.

Cold snow fell and covered the tank.

The ammunition racks loaded for tank firing are running low.

Another soldier is carrying ammunition to the tank.

While another group stood at a distance observing and recording images of the exercise as a database for analysis.
