(Baonghean.vn) – This is one of the contents emphasized at the Training program on propaganda work on seas and islands in the new situation, jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the People's Committee of Nghe An province at the Nghe An Provincial Cultural Center on the afternoon of May 25.
Attending the training session were leaders of the Department of Grassroots Information - Ministry of Information and Communications, representatives of the Department of Information and Communications, reporters and a large number of trainees.

The training session included three topics, an overview of the situation of seas and islands, with special attention to the ongoing sovereignty disputes in the East Sea, as well as emphasizing the role of communication in educating awareness about seas and islands.

| Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Dien, Director of the Center for International Maritime and Sea Law, Faculty of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Chairman of the Council of the Institute for Marine and Island Science Research, emphasized that Vietnam needs to prioritize the use of international jurisdiction mechanisms in legal solutions to protect sovereignty over seas and islands in the current situation. |
