Use electricity economically and efficiently during hot weather
(Baonghean) - Currently, in the peak hot season, almost every family spends electricity on "cooling" devices, which somewhat affects the supply of electricity for production, business and people's daily life.
To ensure electricity supply, in addition to technical solutions, Nghe An Electricity Company is implementing many forms of propaganda to help customers proactively use electricity economically and manage electricity costs during hot days.

In recent days, severe heat has continued to appear widely in the Northern and Central provinces, leading to a sudden increase in electricity demand, mainly due to the use of air conditioners and cooling devices, leading to high electricity consumption. Specifically, on May 16, 2019, the largest Pmax capacity of the whole province reached 576.4 MW, daily electricity output reached 11.5 million kWh, an increase of 10.7% over the same period, this is the highest daily electricity consumption since the beginning of the year.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the peak of the 2019 hot season will continue in May, June, and July. At that time, the demand for electricity as well as electricity consumption will continue to increase. Therefore, in order to reduce the electricity costs that customers have to pay, as well as contribute to ensuring the stable and safe operation of the power system, serving production and daily life of the people, Nghe An Electricity Company recommends that agencies, units, production and business establishments, and households thoroughly use electricity economically, specifically:
- Limit the use of electrical devices at the same timeand high-capacity electrical equipment during peak hours of the power system: from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily (in the City area from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. daily).
- Unplug the power plug from the outlet when not in use.; install electrical equipment scientifically and reasonably, make the most of natural light; should use energy-saving products labeled with the energy star of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
- Especially when using air conditioning, pay attention to keep it in optimal mode., during the day the temperature should be adjusted from 25oC or higher, night from 27 - 28oUse Inverter technology air conditioners; Regularly maintain air conditioners at least once a year, clean dust filters at least once every 3 months to ensure energy savings for customers, minimize the risk of local grid overload, and limit sudden increases in electricity bills.

The rational use and saving of electricity by people, agencies, units, especially enterprises in the province is of great significance in contributing to the electricity industry providing a regular and continuous power supply. Thereby, ensuring the supply of electricity to serve the production and business needs and people's lives, protecting the living environment, and ensuring energy security.
