In the intense heat, Nghe An Electricity Company recommends customers to use electricity economically, safely and effectively.
Nghe An Electricity Company (PC Nghe An) said that June 2 was the day with the largest capacity and electricity output since the beginning of the year.
The Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) said that at 1:15 p.m. on June 2, 2025, the electricity consumption capacity in 27 provinces/cities in the Northern region managed by the Corporation (from Ha Tinh and beyond, excluding Hanoi) reached 17,400 MW, exceeding the highest peak of 2024 (recorded at 10:00 p.m. on August 10, 2024 at 17,300 MW), an increase of 0.578% over the previous year.
June 2nd is also the day that recorded the largest capacity and electricity output since the beginning of the year in Nghe An. Pmax capacity = 1038MW; output is 19.2 million kWh.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the Northern region is experiencing the most severe heat wave since the beginning of summer. The intense heat combined with low humidity of only 40-45% has caused the demand for electricity to skyrocket, especially for cooling equipment.
This is the first widespread heat wave in 2025 and it is forecasted that this summer will have many more severe heat waves.
In that context, the Northern Power Corporation and PC Nghe An are making efforts to ensure safe, stable and continuous electricity supply for more than 11 million customers in the area.
However, to prevent the risk of local grid overload in some residential and urban areas, as well as to ensure safe operation of the power system, the Northern Power Corporation and PC Nghe An recommend: Customers need to use electricity safely, economically and effectively, especially during peak hours at noon (13:00-15:00) and in the evening (20:00-23:00); Use air conditioning reasonably, set at a temperature of 27°C or higher, combine with a fan and close the room door to increase cooling efficiency; Limit the use of many high-capacity electrical devices at the same time, to avoid the risk of overload, incidents, and fires in households.
