Absolutely do not climb electric poles, do not touch the ropes, do not tie livestock to electric poles. Do not approach broken poles, broken wires, sagging, do not touch electrical equipment, ropes, etc. to avoid electric shock due to electrical leakage.

Faced with serious damage caused by the circulation of storm No. 3 (Wipha) and storm No. 5 (Kajiki) in July and August 2025, Nghe An Electricity Company has been urgently implementing many solutions to restore the power system, ensuring safe and stable power supply for people throughout the province.

Nghe An Electricity Company deployed forces to repair power lines affected by storm No. 5.

Due to the impact of two consecutive storms, the power grid system in many areas of the province was severely damaged: A series of power poles were broken, power lines were cut, some power lines were deeply submerged in water, directly affecting people's lives and production.

Storm No. 5 (Kajiki) made landfall directly in Nghe An from the evening of August 24, causing heavy rain, strong winds, and causing severe damage to the power grid system throughout the province. However, with a spirit of steel, overcoming the sun and rain to overcome the storm and flood, the "orange soldiers" of Nghe An Power Company (PC Nghe An) and their partners have been on the scene day and night, proactively and resolutely in troubleshooting to ensure the earliest restoration of power supply to serve the people.

Nghe An Electricity Company and its partners work day and night to fix the problem and ensure power is restored as soon as possible.

As of 7:00 a.m. on August 30, 2025, the company has restored all 148/148 damaged medium-voltage lines, 6,417/6,440 transformer stations, and restored power to more than 886,146/890,598 customers who lost power due to natural disasters, helping people stabilize their lives and restore production. It is expected that on August 30, 2025, the company will make efforts to restore power to the remaining areas.

Immediately after the storm, Nghe An Power Company directed its affiliated units to mobilize human resources, materials, equipment, etc. to urgently fix the problem and quickly restore power to the people. However, due to the severe impact of the storm, many poles were broken. To ensure timely power supply, Nghe An Power Company has implemented long-term solutions and temporary solutions (bracing and reinforcing some tilted poles, bamboo and wooden poles for low-voltage lines, etc.) to restore power to the people in the area to soon stabilize their lives and production.

Mr. Pham Cong Thanh - Director of Nghe An Electricity Company directly went to the scene to direct the work of repairing the power lines.

While waiting for long-term solutions to replace the above temporary repair locations and ensure electrical safety for the people, Nghe An Electricity Company recommends to the people in the whole province:

  1. Absolutely do not climb electric poles, do not touch the guy wires, do not tie livestock to electric poles. Do not approach broken poles, broken wires, sagging wires, do not touch electrical equipment, guy wires, meter boxes, ground wires, etc. to avoid electric shock due to electrical leakage.
  2. Do not travel by boat in flooded areas with power lines near the water. Do not fish or catch aquatic animals near electrical installations. Do not approach flooded power poles to avoid the risk of electric leakage causing accidents.
  3. When repairing houses or installing billboards near high-voltage power grid corridors, it is necessary to ensure a minimum safe distance: 2m for voltages from 1kV to 35kV; 3m for voltages of 110kV.
  4. Actively check and trim trees near power lines, ensure electrical safety after the meter in the scope of houses, offices, shops, factories...
  5. When detecting an electrical problem, or needing repairs, contact a professional unit for handling. Absolutely do not intervene on your own. People can contact the customer service hotline 1900 6769 or the phone number of the Regional Electricity Management Team (attached appendix) for timely support.

For the safety of itself and the community, Nghe An Electricity Company hopes to receive the attention, direction and active coordination of authorities at all levels, media agencies, and the consensus and sharing of the people of the whole province in the propaganda work and implementation of measures to ensure electrical safety after the storm.
