Mr. Nguyen Van Tai - Captain of the Hai Phong Power Company's Shock Team supporting Nghe An province said: Receiving the order from the Director of Hai Phong Power Company, at 6:00 a.m. on August 26, we, including 26 people, departed for Nghe An to support the recovery of the consequences of storm No. 5. Arriving at 3:00 p.m., we divided into 2 groups, together with officers and employees of Nghe An Power Company, started working to repair medium and low voltage lines. We worked continuously until midnight. At 5:00 a.m. this morning (August 27), we got up to continue working.

According to Mr. Tai: Last year, Hai Phong also suffered damage caused by storms. Therefore, we fully understand the difficulties that Nghe An province and people are facing. Therefore, our spirit is determined to do the fastest and most to restore the power grid for the people.

Witnessing the dedicated work of the staff of Hai Phong Electricity Company and Nghe An Electricity Company, Ms. Le Thi Lien, 63 years old, Kim Phuc Nghi An hamlet, Vinh Phu ward shared: Storm No. 5 caused great damage to our people. After the storm, electricity and water were lost, making all activities very difficult. We, the people, hope that the power grid will be restored soon. According to information from Vietnam Electricity Group, the Northern Power Corporation and the Central Power Corporation have mobilized many shock teams with nearly 540 people from the Power Companies of Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Hai Phong, Son La, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Quang Tri... bringing specialized equipment, vehicles and supplies to help Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

Earlier, in the early morning of August 26, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha directed the Vietnam Electricity Group, including its affiliated power companies, to mobilize staff and employees to work day and night to promptly restore the power system to ensure disaster recovery and serve the lives and production of people and businesses.

Information from Nghe An Electricity Company: Storm No. 5 caused 27 medium voltage lines with 1,004 transformer stations to lose power, equivalent to 104,000 customers in the old Vinh city area losing power. On the night of August 25, the forces of the old Vinh city area Electricity urgently fixed some important loads to serve the pumping station for flood control. Also on the night, shock units from units in the undamaged areas also moved to support.
