Nghe An Electricity Company strives to restore the power grid affected by storm No. 3
Nghe An Electricity Company is making efforts every hour, working with agencies, departments, and local authorities to promptly handle and fix problems, determined to provide electricity as soon as possible, serving people to soon stabilize their lives.
With the motto "where the water recedes, the electricity will be fixed", on July 24 and 25, Mr. Pham Cong Thanh - Director of PC Nghe An and the working group quickly approached the scene of the Electricity Management Teams in the Western Nghe An region, directly inspected and directed the repair of the power grid problem caused by flooding affected by the circulation of storm No. 3 Wipha.


Following the circulation of storm No. 3 Wipha, the power grid in the areas managed by the regional power management teams of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Tan Ky, and Quy Chau suffered heavy damage due to flooding. The units proactively cut off power to ensure safety as well as isolate flood-affected areas at 929 transformer stations, temporarily cutting off power to 104,805 customers.
By 7:00 p.m. on July 24, power had been restored to 454 transformer stations, re-supplying 49,598 customers. The remaining transformer stations were flooded, traffic was cut off, and inspection and repair work had not been carried out, nor was safety for people ensured.


By the morning of July 25, Nghe An Electricity Company had made efforts to restore power supply day and night to 750 transformer stations, re-supplying 83,810 customers.
At the same time, Nghe An Electricity Company has also established shock teams to deploy the installation of meters, ready to replace them in flooded areas when the water recedes. Four shock teams have been established to support units in the work of checking, reviewing, repairing and reconnecting power to flooded areas as soon as possible.
