(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, November 6, the Steering Committee of the National Target Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency in coordination with the Nghe An Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting organized a workshop to promote energy efficiency activities through the use of energy-saving equipment. Attending the event was Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Overview of the workshop

Currently, the use of energy economically and efficiently is an inevitable trend, an important factor in the country's development strategy in the integration process. However, a reality that is happening today is that the number of non-renewable energy sources such as coal, oil, and gas is increasingly depleted. Meanwhile, the source of electricity does not meet the demand worldwide. Clearly identifying the need for energy consumption in the coming time, the effectiveness of saving energy use in production and business and the responsibility to protect the environment, the Provincial People's Committee has issued Decision No. 1061 approving the Program on saving and efficiency of energy in the area for the period 2011-2015 and established the Provincial Steering Committee for the program.

At the workshop, in addition to introducing state and provincial documents on energy saving and efficiency, delegates also exchanged information on equipment, solutions and shared experiences in implementation.

On this occasion, Tan A Dai Thanh Group presented Nghe An province with a set of water tanks and solar water heaters worth 150 million VND./.
