The presence of world leaders at the military parade in Russia is a failure of the West.
The Washington Post commented that the presence of world leaders at the Victory Parade was a failure of the West.

According to RIA Novosti, the Washington Post reported on May 9 that the presence of world leaders at the Victory Parade was a defeat for the West and a victory for the Russian leadership.
The article reads: "On May 9, as Russian tanks, missile launchers and drones rumbled through Red Square in the annual Victory Day parade commemorating the Soviet Union's defeat of Nazi Germany, President Vladimir Putin, isolated by the West, welcomed at least 20 world leaders and was proud of his victory."
This year marks the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. On the occasion of the anniversary on May 9, leaders such as PresidentChinaPracticeJinping, PresidentVenezuelaNicolas Maduro, PresidentBrazilLuiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President of BelarusAlexander Lukashenko, PresidentKazakhstanKassym-Jomart Tokayev, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam and many other leaders arrived in Moscow.
Despite EU efforts to block the visit to Russia, the Serbian President and Slovakian Prime Minister also traveled to Moscow to attend the event. European foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas warned leaders of candidate countries and current EU member states against visiting Moscow, threatening them with consequences.
During talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin, Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico said his country was ready to use its veto power in the European Union to ban the supply of Russian energy resources.
“If all 27 member states need to agree to a ban on energy supplies from Russia to EU countries, then we will use our veto to ban the import of all types of energy resources,” the Slovak Prime Minister said.
Prime Minister Fico also noted that if the EU gives up its veto power, the decision on this issue will be made by the major countries in the bloc. He said that sanctions against Russia are ineffective and even harmful to the EU itself.
