Before rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo will have to say goodbye to the 2014 World Cup early, coach Paulo Bento of the Portuguese team has spoken out to deny them.

"Ronaldo did not leave the training ground early. He finished his training session at the same time as the rest of the players. Ronaldo is 100% fit to play," the coach affirmed.

Bento also affirmed: "He will start every match because he is completely fit to play football."

Previously, the Spanish daily El Confidencial published information that the brightest star of the Portuguese team must rest for at least 2 months to recover his health, meaning he will stop playing at the 2014 World Cup.

El Confidencial also explained that the reason Ronaldo had to leave the tournament early was because he had not fully recovered from the injury he suffered before traveling to Brazil with the team.

This injury does not allow the top scorer of La Liga last season to risk his career. If he continues to play in the World Cup, Ronaldo may have to end his career permanently.

Thus, after the false rumors from El Confidencial, Portuguese fans were somewhat reassured when the team's coach himself spoke up to confirm that he was 100% healthy.

However, Portugal is still having a headache because of personnel problems, when Fabio Coentrao officially cannot continue the World Cup, Hugo Almeida is out for 4 days while Pepe is suspended because of the red card in the 0-4 loss to Germany./.
