On the afternoon of April 10, Mr. Le Van Ba - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Van commune said: "Immediately after the above information appeared, we sent forces to hamlet 3, hamlet 4 and went around Quynh Van commune to verify but found that there was no case of abandoned children."
Mr. Le Van Thanh - Head of Quynh Van Commune Police also confirmed: "Our police force has not received any information about an abandoned baby in the area. However, we have sent officers to each hamlet to verify and investigate, but there is no such thing as an abandoned child and no one has picked up the baby posted on Facebook"./.
