(Baonghean) - The Resolution of the 4th Conference of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) "Some urgent issues on Party building at present" truly meets the requirements and aspirations of our cadres, party members and people. This is a continuation of the campaign to build and rectify the Party according to Ho Chi Minh's thought so that the Party "is worthy of being the leader and a truly loyal servant of the people".

This time, the Party Central Committee courageously pointed out: "In addition to the achieved results, the Party building work still has many limitations, weaknesses, and shortcomings that have lasted for many terms and have been slow to be overcome, reducing the people's trust in the Party... A large number of cadres and Party members, including those holding leadership and management positions, including some senior cadres, have degraded in political ideology, lifestyle ethics, with different manifestations of fading ideals, falling into selfish individualism, opportunism, pragmatism, chasing after fame, money, status, localism, corruption, waste, arbitrariness, and lack of principles".

The three urgent issues that the Central Resolution 4 raised emphasized: "Resolutely fight to prevent and push back the degradation of political ideology, ethics and lifestyle of a large number of Party members and cadres, first of all leaders and managers at all levels... Build a team of leaders and managers at all levels, especially at the central level... Clearly define the authority and responsibility of the heads of Party committees and authorities...". So, this time the Central Committee clearly stated: in correcting shortcomings, it is necessary to correct them first from the central level, from leaders and managers. Our ancestors used to say "a leaky house starts from the roof down". Resolution 4 of the Central Committee did not say so, but clearly, the spirit of the Central Committee emphasized that we must focus on repairing from the central level, from the higher levels, from leaders and managers at all levels, especially the central level.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said: "It is a fierce and arduous struggle taking place within each individual and each organization. It requires the entire Party to make great efforts, and each individual and collective to be very determined...".

We hope that the 4th Central Resolution (11th tenure) will come into life, contributing to rectifying and building our Party to be increasingly clean and strong, worthy of being a genuine revolutionary Party founded and trained by President Ho Chi Minh.
