The spread of the policy of helping poor communes

(Baonghean) - With practical support, meaningful projects and gifts through contributions from cadres, civil servants, and workers, agencies and units under the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Public Security Bloc have helped poor communes in the West ease difficulties, creating motivation and confidence for people to effectively overcome poverty.

Each agency and unit in the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies has chosen different ways of doing things, in accordance with the political tasks of their units, to share difficulties with the people. After more than 2 years of helping the poor commune of Keng Du (Ky Son), the Nghe An Department of Transport has supported poor households with models of raising goats and growing bamboo shoots, combined with technical training. The two models are currently promoting economic efficiency and being replicated in Keng Du. The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee has chosen to coordinate with the Faculty of Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries, Vinh University to build a clean vegetable growing model in Phong village, Thach Giam commune (Tuong Duong).

This model has brought a significant source of income to the local people, after each vegetable crop, families earn about 8-10 million VND in profit. With Nghe An Newspaper, receiving help from the poor commune of Xieng My (Tuong Duong), the unit has mobilized cadres and reporters to save money every month, buy breeding cows to give to poor households in the commune. Each household that receives the cow will transfer the breeding cow to another poor household when the calf is strong enough to give birth. Since then, many poor households in Xieng My have breeding cows to raise, contributing to improving their family life. For the provincial Social Insurance agency, helping Huu Kiem commune (Ky Son), it has organized training courses on technology, information, and improved computer usage for commune cadres...

Many good models and good practices of agencies and units in the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies have actively contributed to the hunger eradication and poverty reduction in poor communes in the Western region of the province. Up to now, the Party Committee of the Agencies has 47/57 Party cells assigned to help 35 poor communes according to the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee. In the past 4 years, grassroots Party committees have launched emulation movements with many practical activities such as supporting in cash, seeds, animals, agricultural materials, taking care of people's health, disseminating farming techniques... combined with mobilizing other resources of nearly 10 billion VND (of which cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers donated 6.2 billion VND), helping especially disadvantaged mountainous communes build models of economic development, hunger eradication, and poverty reduction, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Chan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial CCQ Bloc, said: “Helping poor communes is one of the activities that has profound educational significance and wide influence. That is the concrete result of “following” Uncle Ho’s moral example. It demonstrates the concern, sharing, and mutual love of the Party Committee’s cadres and members with the people in particularly difficult areas. In the coming time, the Party Committee of the Bloc will focus on directing agencies and units to continue to replicate good models and practices to contribute to supporting and motivating the poor and poor communes to actively strive to develop the economy and society, contributing to the effective implementation of the hunger eradication and poverty reduction program of the province”.
