(Baonghean.vn)-Tinh Gia carpentry village, Thai Son commune, Do Luong was recognized as a craft village by the Provincial People's Committee in 2012. Up to now, the carpentry village has nearly 40 households participating in carpentry, attracting over 250 regular workers in the carpentry profession.
The difference in this craft village is that the craftsmen with talented and skillful hands can all carve intricately, crafting wooden products that cannot be replaced by any machine. Many households have invested in large-scale factories with modern machinery such as saws, planes, drills, lathes... to expand production scale. Tinh Gia carpentry village is considered a place to preserve and conserve the quintessence of traditional carpentry, favored by customers inside and outside the province. The most popular products are traditional carpentry, building ancient houses. Developing traditional carpentry has generated revenue of 25-30 billion VND/year. The craft village has received investment from the State in a 2.4 km craft village road project worth 7.6 billion VND, currently 40% of the volume has been constructed.
