Gunfire in Karaoke bar, 1 person dead

(Baonghean.vn) -While singing karaoke, Mr. Dat and a group of young men got into an argument. During the fight, Mr. Dat was shot and stabbed by a stranger, and had to be taken to the emergency room.

On the morning of August 29, despite the doctors' efforts to save him, Phan Thanh Dat (born in 1986), residing in Block 3, Truong Thi Ward, died due to severe injuries.

Previously, on the night of August 28, Mr. Dat and a group of friends went to sing karaoke at a bar on Tran Phu Street, Vinh City. There, Mr. Dat's group had a conflict with another group of young people.

After a while of arguing, the two groups got into a scuffle. In the chaos, a gunshot rang out, then many people saw Mr. Dat fall down, covered in blood. Seeing that, the two groups of young men stopped.

The victim was taken to Vinh City General Hospital and then transferred to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Immediately after the incident, Vinh City Police and Nghe An Province Police Department of Criminal Police were present at the scene, examining the scene and investigating the cause. A source said that Mr. Dat was both shot and stabbed to death.


Currently, one suspect related to the case has surrendered, the police are taking statements, recovering weapons and hunting for the remaining suspects.
