Syria has destroyed all chemical weapons production equipment.
Syria has destroyed all of its chemical weapons mixing and production facilities, meeting a key deadline in a Russian-led chemical weapons disarmament program, the international chemical weapons watchdog said on October 31.
The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) said in the report that its inspectors had inspected 21 of 23 chemical weapons production sites across Syria.

The remaining two sites are in hazardous areas that inspectors could not visit, but equipment previously there has been moved to other facilities that experts have visited, according to the OPCW report.
“OPCW is satisfied that it has inspected and witnessed the destruction of all production and preparation equipment at all 23 sites,” the report said.
Under a US-Russian brokered deal, Damascus agreed to destroy all its chemical weapons after Washington threatened to use force in response to the killing of hundreds of people in a sarin gas attack on the outskirts of Damascus on August 21.
The US and its allies have blamed President Assad's government for the attack and several previous incidents. However, the Syrian president has denied the accusations, blaming rebels.
Under the disarmament schedule, Syria was supposed to surrender all its chemical weapons production facilities that had been disabled by November 1, a requirement that it has now met.
