Author of The Adventures of a Cricket passes away at the age of 95
The author of the 'bedside' story collection 'The Adventures of a Cricket', which has been a favorite of many generations of readers, passed away this morning, July 6, 2014, at his home in Hanoi, at the age of 95.

Born on September 27, 1920, To Hoai's birth name was Nguyen Sen. He was born in his paternal hometown in Thanh Oai district, Ha Dong province, Hanoi, into a family of craftsmen. The pen name To Hoai is associated with two places: To Lich river and Hoai Duc district.
Up to now, after more than sixty years of artistic work, he has more than 100 works in many different genres: short stories, serials, memoirs, film scripts, essays and creative experiences.
He was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Literature and Arts (1st term - 1996) for the following works: Xom Gieng, Nha ngheo, O Chuot, De Men phieu luu ky, Nui Cuu Quoc, Truyen Tay Bac, Muoi Nam, Go to the village, Vo Tinh, Tao Luong, Ho Giang in Phin Sa, Mien Tay, Vo Chong A Phu, Tuoi Tre Hoang Van Thu.
The Adventures of a Cricket is his most famous work for children. His most recent work is the collection of stories The Other Three.
