Extremely serious accident, 4 people in a family were injured and died

(Baonghean.vn) - A head-on collision between a car and a motorbike on the Ro Bridge over the Lam River left 4 family members injured and dead, including 3 who flew over the railing and fell onto the riverbank.

The accident occurred at 1 p.m. on February 1, on Ro Bridge over Lam River in Vo Liet and Ngoc Son communes, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province.

According to people present at the scene, at the above time, the car with license plate 37C - 06202 driven by Mr. Pham Van Lai (41 years old), residing in Hamlet 4, Hung Loc Commune, Vinh City, was traveling on Ro Bridge when it collided with 2 motorbikes with license plates 29U6 - 2956 and 37H6 - 4607.

The strong collision injured 4 people in a family, 3 of whom flew over the railing of Ro bridge (about 1 meter high) and fell onto the riverbank from a height of about 30 meters.

Among the three people who fell were Mrs. Nguyen Thi Xuan (about 60 years old) and her daughter-in-law Vi Thi Hue who died; the remaining person was a 3-year-old child Vo Hung Huy who was seriously injured.

The remaining victim, Vo Van Tinh (about 30 years old), Huy's father, was also seriously injured after being thrown into the bridge railing, his leg was severed, and he fell into the river.

The collision also caused the car to have many parts broken on the right side of the front, 2 motorbikes were severely damaged, many parts were scattered on the road.

After the accident, local people were present at the scene, taking the injured to the emergency room. Thanh Chuong district police and Vo Liet commune police were also present to regulate traffic, protect the scene and investigate the incident.
