Traffic accident, 1 female student died

(Baonghean.vn) -At around 8am this morning, July 31, at the intersection of National Highway 46A and National Highway 15A in Nam Dan town, a serious accident occurred, killing one person on the spot.

Witnesses to the incident said that Nguyen Thi Tra (born in 1994, residing in Hung Linh hamlet, Van Dien commune, Nam Dan) was driving a motorbike from Vinh to Nam Dan when she stopped at the red light at the intersection. When the light was about to turn green, Tra was preparing to start the engine when suddenly a truck with license plate number 37C – 042.09 (driver’s identity unknown) came from behind at high speed and turned towards Highway 15A, but due to making a sharp turn, it ran straight over Nguyen Thi Tra’s motorbike.

As a result, the victim died on the spot and the motorbike was crushed.

It is known that Nguyen Thi Tra just took the university entrance exam in 2012. Upon receiving the news, Nam Dan district police deployed forces to the scene to clear traffic congestion and clarify the cause of the incident.
