Train accident, train driver seriously injured

(Baonghean.vn) -At 3:30 a.m. on July 30, in Hoang Mai town, a serious railway accident occurred, forcing the train driver to go to the emergency room.

According to the Head of Hoang Mai Station, Mr. Bui Dang Sau said: The North-South Reunification TrainMaleTrain number SE3, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City. When the train reached km 442 + 730, there was a level crossing when a cement truck with license plate 37S - 6378 of Hoang Mai cement factory, driven by Ho Cong Lam from Nam Dan (Nghe An), from the cement factory crossed the barrier to Highway 1A and crashed into the train's engine, causing the cement truck to overturn.

The car overturned and the engine window was broken.

As a result, more than 60 tons of cement were dumped onto the roadway, the car engine crashed into the train, causing the glass on the engine to shatter, seriously injuring train driver Nguyen Van Manh (Saigon Railway Passenger Transport Company), and the train had to make an emergency stop.

Upon receiving the news, Hoang Mai Station and the authorities promptly arrived to take the train driver to the emergency room. By 6am this morning, the railway traffic had returned to normal.

The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the authorities.
