Accident on National Highway 1A, 2 dead, 1 injured
(Baonghean.vn) -At around 3:40 p.m. today, July 29, on National Highway 1A, through Hamlet 5 (Nghi Lien Commune, Vinh City, Nghe An), a serious traffic accident occurred, killing two people and injuring one.
Some witnesses said that at the time, the car with license plate: 37A-002.67 (driver's identity unknown) was traveling on National Highway 1A in the direction of Nghi Loc - Vinh City, when reaching the above section of the road, it lost control and veered into the opposite lane, crashing into a motorbike with license plate: 37-F2.4185 driven by Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung (born in 1979, residing in Nghi Lien, Vinh City). Not stopping, the car continued to rush forward and crashed into a motorbike with license plate: 37B1-101.34 (there were a couple on the car, residing in Hung commune).

National Highway 1A was jammed for 5km, more than 1 hour.
The head-on collision dragged the motorbike 37B1-101.34 back about 30 meters. As a result, the two people on the motorbike were thrown over the embankment and died on the spot. The car driver fled the scene. Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung (first motorbike) was only injured and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. At the scene, the front of the car and the second motorbike (37B1-101.34) were crushed and severely damaged. Traffic on National Highway 1A was blocked for 5km, more than 1 hour.
Immediately after the accident, Vinh City police were present at the scene to regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the accident. At 5 p.m. the same day, the forensic agency was present at the scene to conduct an autopsy and hand over the victim to his family.
