Tragic bus accident in Tanzania, at least 40 people died
At least 40 people were killed and 23 seriously injured when a bus crashed into a container truck in central Tanzania, about 550 km west of the capital Dar es Salaam, on Tuesday.

The accident occurred when the bus, carrying 60 people, was traveling from the western town of Mbeya to the capital Dar es Salaam when it collided with a container truck coming in the opposite direction, a statement from the Tanzanian President's Office said. The death toll could rise further.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
Road accidents are common in Tanzania due to poor road safety and poor road infrastructure.
This is considered the most serious accident in Tanzania since 2006 when a bus fell into a river, killing 54 people./.
