Bus accident, 4 people died

(Baonghean.vn) - The accident occurred on the afternoon of February 23 in Bolikhamxay province (Laos) causing 4 Vietnamese passengers to die and at least 20 people to be injured, including some passengers who were seriously injured.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bao (born in 1946), a passenger on the bus, who was just transferred to Nghe An General Hospital, said: At around 6:00 p.m. on February 23, the passenger bus with Lao license plate Un2 - 4099 running on the Vinh - Vientiane (Laos) route, reaching the Na Hin Pass, Bolikhamxay Province (Laos), lost its brakes and crashed into the mountain.

The accident killed 3 passengers on the spot, 1 passenger died on the way to Nghe An General Hospital, and driver Dang Danh Loc (born in 1972), residing in Le Mao Ward, Vinh City (Nghe An), was seriously injured. It is known that at that time, there were more than 50 Vietnamese passengers on the bus who were going to Laos to do business or visit relatives.

20 passengers involved in an accident in Laos were transferred to Nghe An General Hospital.

Doctor Tran Van Bien - Department of Trauma and Orthopedics, Nghe An General Hospital said that on the morning of February 24, the hospital received 20 patients from the accident in Laos, 13 patients with traumatic brain injury and spinal injury. Currently, doctors are actively treating the patients.
