Why were the trees at the beginning of Le Hoan Street (Vinh City) cut down?
(Baonghean.vn)- In the middle of the hot days in Vinh city, a row of trees at the beginning of Le Hoan street were cut down. Is there anything unusual?
Reader Canh Tri (Hung Binh Ward - Vinh City) reported this situation to Nghe An Electronic Newspaper as follows:
On May 20, while turning from Nguyen Sy Sach Street to Le Hoan Street (Vinh City), we were quite surprised to see that the familiar shady green row of trees at the beginning of Le Hoan Street had been cut down. Specifically, a row of trees consisting of 4 large trees had been cut down, of which 2 trees were falling onto the sidewalk, 1 tree had been cut across and had its roots cut off but had not been pushed down, and one tree had been sawed across its base and its trunk had been taken elsewhere.
Trees were cut down and lay scattered on the sidewalk at the beginning of Le Hoan Street, Vinh City (photo taken at 9:00 p.m. on May 20, 2015). |
It is worth mentioning that all 4 trees that were cut down were located next to each other and were all large trees, some of which required 2 adult arms to wrap around. And all of the above-mentioned cut down trees were located in front of a row of newly built kiosks that were about to be completed.
The tree trunk with a diameter of two adult arm spans was also cut down mercilessly. |
All four adjacent trees that were cut down were located in front of a row of houses that are being built as a kiosk that is nearing completion. |
The row of cut trees is located right at the beginning of Le Hoan Street. In the photo, the row of cut trees is on the right corner. |
As people who often pass by this road, we are very surprised as to why a row of trees that provide shade for an entire road in Vinh City was cut down en masse. And the time of cutting them down was right on the days when Vinh City had very hot weather and the temperature outside was at its peak.
We want to know who cut down these lush green trees? Why did they cut down the trees next to each other and in front of this row of kiosks that are about to be completed?
Whether the relevant authorities and those in charge know about the sudden felling of a series of trees with large trunks and wide canopies that shade a section of the street. And whether the incident of felling trees at the beginning of Le Hoan Street (Vinh City) is similar to the recent painful tree felling incident in Hanoi?!
