Last year, during the V.League break from March to May, Vietnamese football marked its return with the National Cup. This year, the Covid-19 pandemic is complicated and the outbreak began before the Lunar New Year, so the National Cup can only take place in April.

Despite facing many difficulties, it can be seen that VPF has responded quite promptly to the developments of the Covid-19 epidemic to come up with a reasonable schedule for professional tournaments compared to the situation.
