Sponsored eye exams for 300 students at Quynh Van Secondary School

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 28, 2014, Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company, Nghe An Province Association for the Support of the Disabled and Orphans, in coordination with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Quynh Luu District, organized a program to provide free eye examination, consultation and support for 300 students of Quynh Van Secondary School, Quynh Luu District.

Overview of the ceremony.

At the ceremony, 300 students of Quynh Van Secondary School were examined, screened, detected and classified by doctors from the Central Eye Hospital for common eye diseases among school-age children such as refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism), vision loss, blindness and eye defects. Thereby, the sick children will be given appropriate treatment by doctors. At the examination, the children were given medicine and instructed on how to protect, care for and clean their eyes properly. In cases of severe eye diseases, their records will be kept and surgery will be performed in the near future. The entire cost of the examination and free medicine for students is sponsored by Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company.

It is known that the 2014 Children's Eyes Program was implemented by Prudential in 4 provinces including Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Vinh Phuc and Thai Nguyen with a total value of 143 million VND.
