'Beauty and the Beast' actor reunites with gay lover

Actor Luke Evans and his gay lover are said to have reconciled after a year of separation.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Luke Evans and his gay lover, male model Jon Kortajarena, are getting back together after nearly a year apart.

Beauty and the Beast heartthrob Gaston has been publicly dating the Spanish model since 2014 and announced their breakup two years later. However, since the beginning of this year, Jon Kortajarena has started sharing many photos on Instagram with details related to Luke Evans.

The 31-year-old model posted a photo in Budapest, Hungary, where the actor is currently filming his new film. On April 15, Jon sent a birthday message to Luke on the occasion of the actor's 38th birthday.

Luke Evans himself has recently been sharing emotional, ambiguous statuses. "A wonderful birthday party but missing someone very important. You know who it is," the actor shared.

Although he rarely talks about his love life, the press has often caught Luke Evans being affectionate with supermodel Jon Kortajarena. The actor often brings Jon to meet his family and friends and considers this a very serious relationship.

Having come out in 2002, Luke Evans insists that it has had no impact on his career. "I have never lost a role because I am gay," the actor said.

Luke Evans' words are not without basis as over the past 20 years, his career in Hollywood has been growing stronger with a series of important roles in big projects such as The Girl On The Train, Dracula Untold, Fast & Furious 6, Robin Hood, Immortals, The Hobbit and most recently Beauty and the Beast.

"If I felt disrespected because of personal issues, I wouldn't have stayed in the film industry for so long," Luke confided in Jackal magazine.

The 38-year-old star also told The Advocate: "If I have to become a poor person in my old age, I will have no regrets because I have had a happy, open life and do not have to hide my true gender from anyone."
