Truck driver crashes into police, barricades himself in cabin

On the evening of April 2, Nguyen Van Quoc (27 years old, from Binh Dinh) drove a truck carrying Ho Xuan Hoang (30 years old) to park in front of the gate of a company in Hoa Phu Industrial Park, Long Ho district, Vinh Long province.

At this time, the company's male security guard came to remind and ask Quoc to park the car.make way for trucks to enter the company. Quoc did not agree and jumped out of the car with an iron pipe to attack the guard but was disarmed. The driver immediately returned to the car and used a crowbar to smash the guard post.

Seeing the police stationed at the industrial park arrive, Quoc drove away in his truck. Realizing that someone was following him, the driver turned the car around and drove straight at the pursuing force. Fortunately, the police drove their motorbike onto the side of the road and avoided them.

Quoc continued to turn the car around in front of the company, locked the cabin door, and held a crowbar. The 113 police arrived at the scene and asked him to get out of the car to work, but Quoc and his companion did not comply. Both of them used a rope to tie the cabin door tightly and used their phones to record the events outside.

After more than 3 hours of unsuccessful persuasion, the police forced open the truck door, sprayed pepper spray to control, disarmed Quoc and his companion, and took them to the headquarters for questioning, but both did not cooperate.

Test results showed that both young men had blood alcohol levels, with Quoc's exceeding the permitted level.
