Temporarily suspend Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1178/QD-TTg dated June 17, 2025 on the temporary suspension of Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.
Specifically, the Prime Minister decided to temporarily suspend Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, from work until a decision is made by the competent authority.
During the suspension period, Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoan is entitled to 50% of his current salary (excluding leadership and management allowances).

* Information from the Ministry of Public Security said that expanding the investigation into the case that occurred at Hoang Long Construction Investment and Human Resources Supply Joint Stock Company (Hoang Long Company) and a number of related units, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has initiated a criminal investigation into the crime of "receiving bribes" against former Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan (currently Mr. Hoan is Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs) and 3 other defendants.
The Police Department for Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economy, and Smuggling is investigating the case of "violation of accounting regulations causing serious consequences" occurring at Hoang Long Company and a number of related units, according to Decision to prosecute the case No. 28/QD-CSKT-P6 dated May 14, 2025.
Based on the investigation results, on June 3 and June 10, 2025, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency issued a Decision to supplement the Decision to prosecute the criminal case for the crime of "receiving bribes".
At the same time, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security issued a Decision to prosecute the accused, a Search Warrant, and applied preventive measures against: Nguyen Ba Hoan, former Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; prosecuted 3 defendants at the Department of Overseas Labor Management, including: Tong Hai Nam, Director; Nguyen Gia Liem, former Deputy Director; Pham Viet Huong, Deputy Director, for the crime of "receiving bribes", stipulated in Article 354 of the Penal Code. In particular, Pham Viet Huong was prohibited from leaving her place of residence, and the remaining 3 defendants were arrested and detained./.
