Detained Head of Notary Office causing damage of more than 10 billion VND
Mr. Tran Thien Thi let his employees go out twice without permission to receive two land transfer contracts from other people that had fake signatures and then brought them back to the Notary Office for Mr. Thi to sign and confirm.

On November 7, the Investigation Police Agency, Kien Giang Provincial Police announced that it had just temporarily detained Mr. Tran Thien Thi (born in 1959, residing in Thu 3 town, An Bien district) for 4 months for the crime of 'Lack of responsibility causes serious consequences'.
According to the investigation results, Mr. Thi is the Head of An Bien Notary Office and also a notary. From July 2018 to the end of 2018, Mr. Thi let his employees go out twice to receive 2 pre-signed land transfer contracts from others.
Through investigation, both of these contracts were signed by fake landowners, then brought to the Notary Office for Mr. Thi to sign and confirm. Mr. Thi's actions caused a loss of more than 10 billion VND to others (the real landowner).
Through searching Mr. Thi's workplace and residence, the investigation agency seized many important documents related to the above irresponsible actions causing serious consequences.
The incident is under further investigation.
