Doctor assaulted with broken nose |
Previously, at around 8:50 p.m. on December 25, the 115 Emergency Center received a call from a doctor in Italy (working at the Dong Tan Commune Health Station, Dong Hung District, Thai Binh) reporting a traffic accident and requesting an ambulance.
Immediately after receiving the information, the center mobilized an emergency team including doctor Do Chinh Nghia and driver Dao Van Hoang to urgently go to the scene.
It was determined that the accident victim had an open fracture of the tibia and was in pain, so pain relief, sterile bandages, and a splint were needed before the patient could be transported to the hospital. However, a person claiming to be the victim's family requested that the patient be transported immediately. Despite the explanation, they did not listen.
While the doctor was giving first aid to the patient, this person attacked the doctor. As soon as the patient was immobilized, the emergency team transported the patient to Thai Binh General Hospital.
The doctor who was assaulted after trying to complete his duty had to be hospitalized due to a nosebleed and an injured eye.
Initial examination results at Thai Binh General Hospital showed that Dr. Nghia had a broken nasal bone, facial swelling, left eye injury, corneal scratches, and forehead swelling.
