On October 12, Hanoi City Police informed that, related to the fire that occurred on the evening of October 10 at the gate of Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital (Lang Ward, Hanoi City), the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to temporarily detain Hoang Cao Son (born in 1970; residing at 947 De La Thanh, Lang Ward, Hanoi City) to investigate the act of "Disturbing public order".

According to the investigation, at noon on October 10, Son cleaned up the trash at home and brought it to the rooftop to burn, causing a fire that affected surrounding households.

Afterwards, Lang Ward Police (Hanoi City) coordinated with other forces to extinguish the fire, made a record, and asked the subject to stop burning trash on the rooftop of the house.

However, when the police left, Son did not comply with the request and continued to collect trash and bring it to the top floor of the house.

At 5 p.m. on October 10, Son again burned trash on the rooftop of the house. When he saw that the trash had almost burned out and only red-hot embers remained, Son went downstairs and did not return to the rooftop.

At around 9:30 p.m., when he heard people around him banging on the door, shouting, and calling out the fire, Son immediately went to the top floor and saw that the fire had grown too big and spread to the surrounding houses, and could not be extinguished by himself.

Receiving the fire alarm, the forceFire policeand rescue (Hanoi City Police) promptly arrived, coordinated with Lang Ward Police and related units to organize fire fighting, rescue, and evacuation of surrounding residents. Thanks to that, the fire did not cause any unfortunate consequences.
