Detain criminal suspect who attacked 3 officers at ward police headquarters
Invited to the ward police station for questioning, the subject used a rice stick to attack the police force, injuring 3 officers.
On August 12, Bac Lieu City Police (Bac Lieu Province) informed that the unit is temporarily detaining Nguyen Trong Thinh (38 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the act of causing disturbance and attacking the task force.

Previously, on the afternoon of August 11, Thinh caused a disturbance at a gym in Ward 1, Bac Lieu City. He was then invited to the Ward 1 Police Station for questioning. However, upon arriving at the station, Thinh suddenly resisted and ran away.
At this time, Captain Huynh Tan Khanh was coming to Ward 1 Police Station to contact for work, and immediately assisted 2 ward police officers in arresting Thinh.
During the pursuit, Thinh used a sharp piece of metal (a rice-piercing stick) to stab Captain Huynh Tan Khanh in the head, shoulder and chest, causing serious injuries; in addition, two police officers from Ward 1 were also stabbed in the hands by this person.
