Taxi driver who took 11-year-old child to deserted beach after accident detained

On the morning of August 22, Dien Chau District Police were still detaining Cao Duc Truong (born in 1988, residing in Block 3, Dien Chau Town, Dien Chau District).
Cao Duc Truong is a driver for Mai Linh taxi company. Truong was arrested by local people after taking an 11-year-old child to the beach at night.

Previously, at around 8:00 p.m. on August 18, on National Highway 7A (through Dien Thanh commune, Dien Chau district), a traffic accident occurred between a taxi with license plate 37A-396.11 driven by Truong and an electric bicycle driven by two girls, Th.TTTr and D.TBNg (born in 2008, residing in Dien Thanh commune, Dien Chau).
The accident injured two girls. At that time, the people asked Truong to take the two girls to the hospital for emergency treatment. But instead of taking the two girls to the hospital, Truong took Ng. to a nearby house and dropped her off. As for Tr., it is unclear where Truong took her.
Tr.’s family searched and found the taxi at the beach area bordering Dien Thanh and Dien Thinh communes. At this time, Tr. panicked and cried. Truong was detained by the locals and reported to the police.
Upon receiving the news, Dien Chau District Police and Dien Thanh Commune Police went to the scene and took the suspect to the police station for questioning. Tr. was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. Initial reports showed that Tr. was injured in both arms and the fingers of his left and right hands.
According to the source, the police are detaining Truong to verify and clarify information about the subject who raped the child.
