According to the initial investigation and examination of the scene, the accident occurred on a straight road with no residential areas. The car was moving in the right lane but veered to the left side of the road and overturned without colliding with anyone.
The accident is most likely caused by brake failure or the driver falling asleep. At the police station, driver Nguyen Van Canh (born in 1982, residing in Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province) initially admitted to having insomnia before the accident.

At around 4:30 a.m. on November 29, a passenger bus with license plate 12LD-0056 carrying 35 people departed from Lang Son to Nghe An to attend a wedding. When reaching the Vinh City bypass in Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc district (Nghe An), the passenger bus suddenly lost control and flipped over into a field.
The accident killed Hoang Van Que (born in 1992, residing in Binh Gia district, Lang Son) and injured more than 20 others. The injured victims were taken to Nghe An General Hospital 115 for emergency treatment.
Doctor Nguyen Minh Tan - Emergency Department of Nghe An General Hospital 115 said that by noon on November 29, there were a total of 21 patients who were passengers in the car accident in the emergency department. After first aid and classification, 7 seriously injured patients were transferred to the Departments for treatment.
“Currently, the lives of hospitalized patients are no longer in danger. Victims with minor injuries and soft tissue abrasions have requested to be discharged,” Dr. Tan added.
