Born in 1974 in a family of 5 siblings, in hamlet 15, Dien Truong commune (Dien Chau), Le Thanh Hop's life was difficult and deprived since childhood. Because of that, he was determined to study well and escape poverty. After passing the entrance exam to Vinh Medical College (now Vinh Medical University), with great effort, throughout his years of study, Le Thanh Hop always ranked first with high scores. After graduating, he was invited to work at Ho Chi Minh City Transport Hospital until now.

Living far from his hometown and family, his heart always aches for Nghe An. By chance, he met Mr. Le Hong Son - President of Ho Chi Minh City Charity Association. From here, he started to be attached to the association and regularly organized charity trips across the country. In particular, the charity trips led by him always focused on Nghe An.

Mr. Hop gave gifts to families with revolutionary contributions in Dien Truong commune (Dien Chau) in 2014.

Over the past 10 years, Dr. Le Thanh Hop has made dozens of charity trips from North to South. In 2013, he and a charity group from Tinh That Pagoda (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) went to Dien Truong commune to examine patients, give free medicine, and give gifts to the Women's Union, Farmers' Union, and children in especially difficult circumstances, worth nearly 45 million VND.

In 2014, through the charity program called “Remembering the homeland”, Mr. Hop and his charity group gave nearly 20 million VND to the poor in Hamlet 15, Dien Truong Commune. In 2015, the Nghe An Farmers’ Association received 17 million VND from the charity group led by Mr. Hop and organized free medical examinations and medicine for the association’s members. Accompanying Mr. Hop is always young singer Duong Minh Tuan, who brings his voice to the people of Nghe An on every charity trip.
