At that time, people in the area were shocked to discover that Ms. H. (31 years old) had been doused in gasoline and set on fire by her ex-husband, Q. (age unknown), leading to her death. In addition, Ms. H.'s biological mother, who rushed in to save her daughter, was also severely burned and is currently receiving emergency care.
As for Q., he also suffered minor burns after being doused in gasoline. The suspect then ran home, tied an electric wire to his leg, and plugged it into an electrical outlet to commit suicide. However, due to the electrical outlet exploding, Q. did not die and is currently receiving emergency care at Nghia Lo Regional General Hospital, which is managed by the police.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Yen Bai Provincial Police and Van Chan District Police quickly took action. The autopsy and crime scene investigation were completed that morning. The case is being investigated according to legal regulations.
Mr. Thuan said Q. was not a local. The suspect met and fell in love with Ms. H. when they were still in school, and the two became husband and wife. In the locality, Q. worked in iron and was considered a gentle and hard-working person. Q. took care of his wife's education and opened a pharmacy for Ms. H. to run.
However, due to conflicts, the couple's life has been filled with frequent quarrels recently. A few months ago, Q. threw acid on his wife, causing minor burns.
While the authorities were considering criminal proceedings against Q., Ms. H. applied for bail for her husband. Then, around April 2017, the couple decided to divorce.
Ms. H. returned to her mother's house, while Q. rented a house outside. However, due to an unknown conflict, in the early morning of June 9, Q. bought gasoline, sneaked into Ms. H.'s sleeping place, soaked the blanket in gasoline, and set it on fire...
