Knife attack in Northeast China, 14 injured and dead
According to Xinhua, on the afternoon of August 17, two people were killed and 12 others were injured in a knife attack in Yanji city, Jilin province, northeastern China.
Local police said the incident happened at around 3:20 p.m. at the Jinhuacheng shopping mall when a person stabbed others repeatedly with a knife. One person died at the scene while the other victim died in hospital.

The injured were taken to hospital for treatment.
Police have arrested the suspect, Cui Zhenyu, 25, and are investigating the cause of the incident. Cui Zhenyu's relatives said he suffered from depression./.
