The conference program includes topics directly delivered by Mr. Nguyen Hong Duong - Deputy Director of the Department of Americas, Ministry of Industry and Trade, aiming to disseminate basic information about the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), opportunities and challenges of TPP for Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular, solutions that need to be implemented and things to know about the ASEAN economic community.

Đồng chí Nguyễn Hồng Dương - Vụ phó Vụ châu Mỹ, Bộ Công thương nêu bật những cơ hội và thách thức của TPP đối với Việt Nam nói chung và Nghệ An nói riêng, đồng thời đề cập một số giải pháp.
Comrade Nguyen Hong Duong - Deputy Director of the Americas Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, highlighted the opportunities and challenges of TPP for Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular, and mentioned some solutions.

Once the TPP is signed, it is predicted that many sectors of Vietnam will have the potential to develop, the products that will benefit the most are textiles, footwear, electronics, etc. Joining the TPP will help Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular continue to expand export markets, increase foreign direct investment attraction, accelerate economic restructuring, etc.

In addition, there are still many challenges that need to be more clearly identified in all areas, requiring behavior to take advantage of opportunities and limit the negative impacts of this strategic economic agreement. Currently, economic globalization is a prominent trend and has become an environment of fierce competition between countries worldwide.

Due to the influence of globalization, the world economy is transforming into an increasingly tightly linked system. In that context, TPP has been and is undergoing a negotiation process with the participation of 12 countries including Vietnam, currently facing some difficulties in negotiation areas such as: trade in goods, opening of service markets, investment markets, intellectual property, etc.

Within the framework of the conference, the lecturer also outlined the highlights of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the issues facing Vietnam when the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is officially established at the end of this year.

Accordingly, ASEAN is a political, economic, cultural and social alliance of Southeast Asian countries, playing an increasingly important role in the stability and development of the Asia-Pacific region and the world. AEC is a regional economic bloc of ASEAN planned to be established this year, aiming to create a unified market and production base for member countries. AEC poses for Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular a number of issues regarding the completion of market economic institutions, business environment, transformation of growth models, development of science and technology, infrastructure and human resources, etc.

The conference received many positive responses from delegates, contributing to continuing to promote propaganda work on international economic integration, implementing the "Action Program of Nghe An to continue implementing the Resolution of the 4th Conference of the 10th Party Central Committee on a number of major policies and guidelines for the economy to develop rapidly and sustainably when Vietnam is a member of the World Trade Organization in the spirit of Resolution 49/NQ-CP dated July 10, 2014 of the Government" approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision 2574/QD-UBND dated June 22, 2015.
