Mr. Yusuke Adachi, Japanese nationality, born in 1961, is known as one of the elite coaches of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). He is also the teacher of many coaches of the famous generation of players in Vietnam such as Hoang Van Phuc, Le Huynh Duc, Nguyen Van Sy, Nguyen Huu Thang, Ngo Quang Truong... when he was appointed by AFC as a lecturer of the training course.AFC Professional Football Coaches Championship held in Vietnam for the first time in 2017.
The contract to become Technical Director between Vietnam Football Federation - VFF and expert Yusuke Adachi, valid from July 2020 to January 31, 2023, was just announced on the afternoon of September 9, 2020.
On the official day of his debut in Vietnamese football as the new Technical Director of the VFF, Mr. Yusuke Adachi shared: “I am very happy to have the opportunity to work in Vietnam. To be here and discuss with you, I need to thank the VFF for trusting and inviting me to the position of Technical Director.

I understand that the position of Technical Director is very important, so I have considered carefully before accepting this position. I affirm that I will work with all my enthusiasm and responsibility for Vietnamese football, trying to apply my own experience to the job, with the desire to contribute to the success of Vietnamese football."
Mr. Yusuke Adachi also shared more about his own dreams and goals when deciding to accompany Vietnamese football. “My first goal is to research Vietnamese football. We will meet the coaches and exchange some information about the football situation. The advantage for me is that I will work with two talented coaches, Park Hang-seo (Vietnam men's national team) and Philippe Troussier (Vietnam U19).
GrandfatherPark Hang-seois doing a very good job with the Vietnam team. He also understands Vietnamese football better than me. So does Mr. Troussier. It's great to cooperate with them. We will work together to find a common solution for the development of Vietnamese football in the future."

According to the assessment of new Technical Director Yusuke Adachi,Vietnamese playerhave skills, but at present, compared to European players, Vietnam is still not up to par. “However, Vietnamese people work very hard and are united. That is the basis for future development. I think that Vietnamese football has greater potential than other countries.
Looking at Japan, after 30 years, from a country that could not defeat Hong Kong and Malaysia, Japan has now defeated most countries in Asia. That is the result of hard work and diligence. I do not know when Vietnam can do that, but with our character, we will do it, it is just a matter of sooner or later," said Mr. Yusuke Adachi.
In addition to teaching and training professional coaches, Mr. Yusuke Adachi is also highly regarded in the role of youth football training. This expert spent 1 year leading Yokohama FC playing in J-League 2, before participating in coaching for the Japan Football Federation; working in Hong Kong as a football academy coach of the Hong Kong Football Federation.
