On May 28, the clubs competing in V.League 2023/2024 received the list of nominations for the Best Coach of May sent by the Organizing Committee of the National Professional Football Tournaments 2023/2024.
Accordingly, coach Pham Anh Tuan has been named in this list. Also on the nomination list are coach Daiki Iwamasa (coach of Hanoi Club) and coach Nguyen Duc Thang (Viettel The Cong Club).
All three coaches mentioned above have gone through 4 rounds and won 10 points for their home clubs. As for coach Pham Anh Tuan, he officially took over the leadership of Song Lam Nghe An from round 18 of V.League 2023/2024. Before that, with a young squad and often only playing against the West, Song Lam Nghe An had gone through 9 matches without knowing the taste of victory.

With 5 rounds remaining in the Vietnam National Football Championship, Song Lam Nghe An is currently tied on points with the 12th-ranked team – Hoang Anh Gia Lai but has a better goal difference. The Nghe An team is 1 point ahead of the second-to-last team on the rankings – Hong Linh Ha Tinh. Therefore, the relegation race this season is still very fierce.
