Tan Ky strives to build cultural and sports institutions
(Baonghean)As a mountainous district with many difficulties, in recent years, the implementation of the Project "Building standard cultural, information and sports institutions and developing grassroots cultural life" in Tan Ky has achieved certain achievements.
Villages and hamlets in Tan Ky have more stadiums and cultural houses, backward customs are gradually eliminated, traditional beauty is preserved and promoted. There have been models and examples of weddings following the new cultural lifestyle in Nghia Phuc, Nghia Dong, Nghia Hop communes; funeral models in Ky Son, Nghia Thai, Tan Phu; complete cultural village, hamlet and block models in Thuan Yen hamlet (Nghia Hoan), hamlet 6B (Nghia Dong), Vinh Dong hamlet (Tan Xuan), Hung Nguyen hamlet (Tan An)...
Tan Luong Village Cultural House (Tan Phu-Tan Ky) is being built with 100% of the funds voluntarily contributed by the people.
To achieve that result, Tan Ky determined that the construction of cultural institutions at the grassroots level is not only the construction of physical facilities (village cultural houses, sports grounds, equipment for cultural activities) but also focuses on advocacy and propaganda work to each village and hamlet so that people understand the purpose and significance of implementing this program. In particular, focusing on raising awareness and compliance with laws and cultural regulations of rural people; building, consolidating and developing the system of cultural and sports institutions at the grassroots level, creating conditions for rural people to improve their enjoyment of participating in cultural activities and creation.
With that effort, up to now, 249/266 villages and hamlets in Tan Ky have spacious cultural houses, 100% of villages and hamlets have loudspeaker systems, 250/266 villages and hamlets have sports grounds; 22/22 communes and towns and 187/266 villages and hamlets have art troupes. The cultural and artistic movement at the grassroots level has developed strongly, so in recent years, Tan Ky's art troupes have won 2 first prizes, 5 second prizes and 3 third prizes at the Sen Village Singing Festival in Nghe An province; 2 third prizes at the Nghe Vi and Dam Folk Song Festival; 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes at the Nghe An Ethnic Minority Art Festival.
There are localities such as Nuoc Xanh - Giai Xuan hamlet, a hamlet with Tho ethnic people, where life is still difficult, but people still voluntarily contribute to building a community cultural house and establishing an art troupe to preserve gong culture and Tho ethnic folk songs. There are communes such as Tan Phu with 11/12 cultural villages, Nghia Dong with 14/15 cultural villages. In block 8, the town, there used to be many social evils but now it has become a typical example of building community culture...
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Tan Ky district commented: "The results were achieved thanks to the attention of the Party committees and authorities at all levels in directing and building grassroots cultural life, promoting the emulation movement to build synchronous cultural and sports institutions according to the project of the province and district. The most important thing is that the team doing cultural and sports work from the district to the grassroots level is dynamic, enthusiastic about the profession and has received basic professional training. To maintain the brocade weaving villages in Thai Minh hamlet (Tien Ky), Tham hamlet (Nghia Hoa) ..., the district coordinated with the commune to open training classes, support capital, cooperate with the Women's Union to guide the women and ensure the market for products. The construction of cultural houses in villages and hamlets was mostly mobilized from the people, in many villages and hamlets, people voluntarily contributed 100% of the capital to build cultural houses.
However, the process of implementing the construction of cultural institutions associated with the new rural program in Tan Ky still faces many difficulties, requiring all levels from district to grassroots to make more efforts in leadership and direction of implementation. That is, the lives of people in many communes are still poor, economic development and intellectual level are uneven, especially in remote areas (such as in Phu Son commune, there is only 1/14 cultural villages), investment resources from socialization are still limited. The preservation and promotion of tangible and intangible cultural values, traditional craft villages, and stilt houses still face difficulties...
