Destroying beauty because of greed for cheap "high-end" cosmetics
Greedy for cheap, high-quality cosmetics, many consumers unintentionally destroy their skin.
Customers today like branded goods but want to buy them at cheap prices. Taking advantage of this preference of many young girls, some traders, for profit, import many mixed cream products of unknown origin, fake skin creams... One of the most notable products is Kiss. Kiss is a skin whitening cream originating from Thailand.
This cheap cosmetic is so famous that just by typing the keyword Kiss skin care mask, you can find hundreds of thousands of results. With the very sweet advertisement of the seller, this product quickly won the sympathy of users. In particular, this product is sold at a very cheap price.
It is known that the price of a 15ml box of Kiss cream ranges from 500,000 to 570,000 VND/bottle; cream with a capacity of 30ml costs from 860,000 to 910,000 VND/bottle.

However, in the market, this cream is counterfeited in large quantities and at incredibly low prices.
Ms. Ngoc Lan (Duong Thanh, Hanoi) said that she also bought a 15ml bottle of Kiss cream for 150,000 VND on Luong Van Can street (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi). She shared that it was very difficult to distinguish between real and fake products.
Ms. Lan believed that with the price of 150,000 VND, the cream jar was definitely fake. However, when she heard the seller's explanation, she immediately believed it. The seller said: "Ma'am, normally this jar would cost nearly 600,000 VND, but because I need to liquidate a large quantity to import other items, I'm selling it at this price to gain connections." Because of this advertisement, Ms. Lan decided to buy 4 jars to use.
Ms. Minh Phuong (Hoa Ma, Hanoi) was cheated in another way. She used a 15ml bottle of Kiss cream for 560,000 VND, she was very satisfied with the smoothness of her skin which has improved significantly.
One time, by chance, while searching online, she found a place that committed to selling genuine, reputable beauty products for over 6 years. She was surprised when this place sold Kiss cream for only 450,000 VND.
Passing by the place selling on Nguyen Khuyen Street (Dong Da, Hanoi), she also expressed her curiosity and was told by the hotgirl owner: "Oh, you don't know? The price of this cream is only 440,000 VND, but I import it one by one so I'm determined to sell it to customers at the best price. Other places also sell this cream but at sky-high prices, cheating customers, I'm the one who won't do that."
Hearing the good news, Ms. Phuong decided to buy the product here to try.
Not only Kiss skin care mask, many other cosmetics are also prioritized by consumers based on price, regardless of quality, just seeing cheap products, customers choose to buy.
Ms. Hoai Thu - a person who specializes in importing and selling hand-carried cosmetics confided: "There is a paradox that all consumers like to use genuine products, but whenever they know of a place that sells them cheaper by tens to hundreds of thousands, they still go there to buy them without knowing whether they are genuine products or not."
Ms. Thu said that she had a headache when everyone asked: "Why do you sell hundreds of thousands of Kiss cream jars more expensive than other places!"
Ms. Thu shared: Along with hundreds and thousands of fake cosmetic products flooding the market, the number of people hospitalized with chapped faces, sharp pimples, deformities, swelling, etc. is increasing day by day.
But it wasn't until the image of the owner using Kiss with a face full of acne, broken acne, and terrible complications appeared online that many women were really worried about using this skin cream.
Although she did not suffer from severe acne like the girl online, Ms. Lan quickly suffered the consequences after only 3 days of using "cheap genuine products". She complained that her face was extremely itchy and burning. Luckily, she had the presence of mind to throw away the creams. After a few days of applying the medicine, her face felt better.
Ms. Ngan Thuy (a salesperson at one of the cosmetics dealers) said: “It is the psychology of wanting cheap things that harms consumers. If we use genuine cosmetics, this phenomenon will never happen.”
There are countless stories of women betting their faces on sellers just because they want to be cheap and beautiful. Only when these establishments are brought to light do consumers become shocked by the truth of these unexpected things.
Remember before, many women were "crazy" about jars of super smooth mixed creams, making their skin surprisingly white. But when exposed, women were horrified to know that besides the cream's formula including: vitamin B1, PP, vitamin B12, the manufacturer also added many chemicals to help peel the skin. Not only that, the containers were all made from old boxes.
Dr. Le Quang Loc (Dermatologist at Xanh Pon General Hospital, Hanoi) shared that many women, because of their desire for cheapness, have mistakenly bought fake cosmetics without knowing it. Fake cosmetics often contain large amounts of salicylic acid, corticoids, and industrial colors. These creams with surprising skin-whitening effects contain large amounts of mercury and corticoids. Corticoids often cause side effects such as skin whitening, thinning, and reducing skin pigmentation.
If used for a long enough time, facial skin will have mild complications such as acne, wrinkles, stretch marks, severe complications such as facial muscle deformation, dilated blood vessels, damaged skin pigmentation, edema, watery skin, acute inflammation.
Dermatologists advise that when using cosmetics, women should go to reputable, branded businesses to choose to buy.
