During the decision-making ceremony, Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang asked the new Director General of the District to focus on key issues in basic construction, traffic safety, training and testing, driver's license issuance, vehicle weight control, etc.

Considering that 80% of traffic accidents are on the road, the Ministry assigned the new General Director to closely coordinate with other agencies and units to innovate transportation and reduce traffic accidents.

Faced with this task, Mr. Huyen pledged to be determined to complete the task, comprehensively innovate the General Department's operations, develop the unit sustainably, meet the needs of society and especially reduce traffic accidents.

On the same afternoon, Minister Dinh La Thang handed over the decision to appoint Mr. Le Thanh Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Management and Quality of Traffic Works, to hold the position of Chief Inspector of the Ministry, replacing Mr. Huyen from June 1.

Mr. Le Thanh Ha pledged to be dedicated to his new job and work with the team to complete the assigned tasks well. In the immediate future, Mr. Ha will continue to strengthen specialized inspections in the fields of traffic infrastructure protection; combat negativity in vehicle registration, testing and driver license training; and step up inspections to contribute to improving the quality of traffic works.

Last April, Mr. Huyen beat three other candidates in the selection for the position of General Director. This was the first time the highest position in the State management system was selected through an examination.
