Donated 20 GPS devices to Ly Son fishermen
Providing positioning support for distressed fishing vessels aims to help fishermen quickly complete fishing equipment on board and continue to go offshore.
This morning (June 11), in Ly Son island district, Quang Ngai province, Vietnam Steel Corporation visited and presented 20 positioning devices, worth 200 million VND, to fishing boats of fishermen on the island that were attacked by Chinese ships while fishing in Vietnam's Hoang Sa waters.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh - Chairman of the Fisheries Union of An Hai Commune, Ly Son District, Quang Ngai Province said that since China illegally placed the Haiyang 981 drilling rig in Vietnam's waters, it has affected the seafaring activities of Ly Son fishermen.
The support for positioning of fishing boats in distress aims to help fishermen soon complete fishing equipment on board, go out to sea to exploit seafood and protect the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland./.
