Strengthening drug quality monitoring
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 27, in Vinh city, the Central Institute for Drug Control held a workshop on drug quality inspection and supervision in 2014 and deployment of work in 2015.
Attending the event were Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Cao Son - Director of the Central Institute for Drug Control, Doctor Bui Dinh Long - Provincial Party Committee member, Director of Nghe An Department of Health and delegates from 64 provinces and cities nationwide.

In 2014, the State testing system closely followed the assigned planning targets, cooperated with the quality control departments of enterprises, closely coordinated between the testing system - drug management - drug inspection to strengthen the inspection and supervision of drug quality. Thanks to that, the quality of drugs on the market remained stable and controlled, the rate of substandard drugs remained low at 2.38%; the rate of counterfeit drugs was low compared to other countries in the region. Accordingly, in 2015, the State testing system and enterprises will focus on 6 key tasks, including strengthening international cooperation, seeking assistance from WHO and international organizations, and cooperating with ASEAN countries in drug and cosmetic quality management.

On this occasion, 02 units, namely the Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Testing Center of Gia Lai and Vinh Phuc provinces, received the emulation flag of the Ministry of Health and 18 groups and 38 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Minister of Health for "Having excellent achievements in the work of inspecting and supervising to ensure drug quality in 2014".
