Strengthening national defense and security education

(Baonghean) - On the morning of September 25, the working delegation of the National Defense and Security Education Council of Military Region 4, led by Major General Nguyen Chi Huong - Deputy Commander of the Military Region, Vice Chairman of the National Defense and Security Education Council of Military Region 4, inspected the national defense and security education work in Nghe An province. Attending and working with the delegation was comrade Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial National Defense and Security Education Council.

In the first 9 months of 2013, the Provincial Council for National Defense and Security Education has performed well its advisory function to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to deploy synchronously, uniformly and effectively, creating positive changes in the work of national defense and security education. The activities of the National Defense and Security Education Council at all levels have gradually become routine and have achieved practical results. The work of fostering national defense and security knowledge for all subjects has been focused on quantity and quality. Schools from high school to university have organized the teaching and learning of national defense and security education according to the program distribution, reaching 100%. National defense education for all people has been carried out in many diverse forms and appropriate methods, bringing about practical results. Thereby, it has contributed significantly to raising the awareness and responsibility of cadres at all levels, sectors and the entire population for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.

Concluding the inspection, Major General Nguyen Chi Huong highly appreciated the work of education on national defense and security in the province. At the same time, he pointed out that in the coming time, the work of education and training on national defense and security knowledge needs to be seriously directed and implemented by the Party Committee and the government, in order to create changes in awareness of responsibility and equip military skills for cadres, party members and people, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the task of socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security in the province in particular and the Military Region in general.
